Opportunities for Employment at the Global Health Corps (GHC) Fellowship in 2022

GLOBAL HEALTH CORPS AFRICA FELLOW


The Global Health Corps (GHC) is a nonprofit organization that aims to improve health equity by connecting young professionals with organizations working on the frontlines of the fight for global health. The GHC Africa Fellowship is a competitive program that provides young professionals with the opportunity to work with leading health organizations in East and Southern Africa for one year. Fellows are placed with partner organizations where they work on a range of health-related issues, including HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, and non-communicable diseases. The program aims to develop the next generation of global health leaders and to provide fellows with the skills and experience they need to make a lasting impact in the field of global health.


 Eligibility


  1. At the beginning of the fellowship, you must:
  2. age limit of 30 years or less
  3. have a bachelor's degree or other undergraduate university degree
  4. Having a strong command of the English language and being a citizen or legal permanent resident of Zimbabwe, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zambia

Selection Criteria

We are looking for diverse high-potential leaders from every sector and professional background who bring the skills necessary to address critical health systems gaps and who embody our key leadership practices:

  4. Committed to social justice: You are passionate about social justice in health and have both the patience and the motivation to engage in the hard, complex work of building just health systems.
  5. Adaptive and innovative: You are excited by a design-thinking approach to building a better world, creatively embracing problems and ready to embrace failure as learning.
  6. Results-driven: You bring your best self and are motivated to do the day-to-day work needed to bring about positive change in the global health equity movement.
