Students at UC Berkeley can register for classes, make payments on their bills, and apply for financial aid using the online gateway known as CalCentral.

It compiles student data from numerous campus sources into a customized, mobile-friendly dashboard and digital assistant.

From within Cal Student Central, teachers, staff, and students can access bCourses, campus email, the UCB academic calendar, Course Capture, and more.


How to log in to Calcentral

To log in to CalCentral, follow these steps:
  1. Go to the CalCentral website: https://calcentral.berkeley.edu/
  2. Click on the "Sign In" button located in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Enter your CalNet ID and Passphrase in the fields provided.
  4. Click the "Sign In" button.

If you have forgotten your CalNet ID or Passphrase, or are having trouble accessing CalCentral, you can contact the CalNet Help Desk at (510) 664-9000 or helpdesk@berkeley.edu for assistance.

How to reset your password

You can ask for a reset if you've forgotten your CalNet ID or password. Enter your student number, employee number, affiliate number, or recovery email address (not from Berkeley) in the box, then click "Request Reset." You will get an email with instructions if the system has your recovery email stored on its system.

How to view grades in calCentral

Following the semester: Final grades will be displayed in CalCentral on the Semesters card. When the teacher posts the students' grades, they are visible. However, please be patient as sometimes grades may not show up for a day after being posted.

There is currently no automated communication system in place, so students must check CalCentral to see if their grades have been uploaded.
